The first agro-holding company supported eNEET Rural in Bulgaria!
“Marvin” Ltd. is officially committed to supporting the implementation of eNEET Rural
On September 11th, Mr. Krasimir Marinov, Manager of “Marvin” Ltd. formally signed an Agreement for cooperation with the Executive Director of UBBSLA, Mrs. Mariana Kancheva, to tackle the problem of youth unemployment in rural areas. From his many years of experience in the field of agriculture, production and trade in agricultural products, Mr Marinov has been faced annually with the lack of quality and motivated workforce in the sector. At the same time, many young people in the region are out of work and without any motivation to start a job or business in the field of agriculture, although the main subsistence in the Sliven region is precisely in this area.
Bulgarian company “МARVIN” Ltd. is engaged in the acquisition, leasing and use of agricultural land, production and trade in agricultural products, mainly vineyards and wine production. Since 2015, the company is the owner of the “Marvin’s Winery”. The cellar is located on the territory of Hadji Dimitrovo village, 20 km from the town of Sliven and it’s engaged in the production of small, precision batches of wines for connoisseurs of higher price. The entire assortment of wines is produced from hand-picked cartridges, selected, well-ripe grapes from their own 900 acres of vineyards, located 200 meters from the cellar.
With the signing of this cooperation agreement, Marvin Ltd., in the person of Mr. Marinov, agreed, in the conditions of long-term partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation, to support the work of UBBSLA with young people focusing on low-skilled young people aged up to 29 living in rural areas that do not study or work (NEETs) and have lost their motivation to look for work. The agreement was signed within the framework of the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment project “eNEET Rural: Facilitating entrepreneurship and improving skills of NEETs living in rural areas”. The project envisages activities to enhance the skills of these young people by stimulating their entrepreneurship and successful implementation of the labor market in the agricultural sector. Through various forms of training, youth competitions, staff exchanges, mentoring and job placement, the young people involved are expected to develop their professional skills and incentive to enter the labor market.
In this regard, “Marvin” Ltd. is committed to assisting UBBSLA in the selection of NEETs from the region of Sliven. Within the project, young low skilled and unemployed people will received the opportunity to participate in eNEET Rural intensive training courses with a focus on developing their agricultural skills and knowledge or starting their own businesses. Subsequently, the agro-holding company will act as hosting and mentoring organisations for the trained young people who successfully pass through the training phase.
From its start, the eNEET Rural project is officially supported by two rural municipalities in Bulgaria (Devnya and Beloslav) and one agro-holding organization (“МARVIN” Ltd.). Moreover, one Bulgaria-Greece bilateral partnership agreement is signed, so ARTIFACTORY already committed to support our project across Greece!
