ProLIGHTmed project partners gathered in Setubal for the second consecutive meeting
In the period 18-19.06.2024, representatives of each partner of the #ProLIGHTmed project gathered for a two-day working meeting, where they discussed the activities of the first implementation period, exchanged recommendations and determined the next steps for the successful continuation of the project.
The event was hosted by ENA (Agência de Energia e Ambiente da Arrábida), which is a dynamic sector agency dedicated to promoting energy efficiency, environmental sustainability and adaptation to climate change. Funded by three municipalities in the Lisbon metropolitan area – Setúbal, Sesimbra and Palmela – ENA plays a crucial role in the implementation of national energy and environmental policies. In the joint mission of ProLIGHTmed, ENA is committed to innovative methodologies and a participatory approach that will help achieve the project’s goals.
Within the framework of the meeting, ENA organized a visit to their administrative premises to show an example of good practice related to the planning and optimization of public lighting. The partners had the opportunity to learn more about the current intelligent public lighting management system used in the city of Setúbal, thanks to the support of experts from the municipality.
ProLIGHTmed: Progressive solutions in greener optimization of public lightning in EURO-MED area aims to contribute to the promotion of adaptation to climate change by optimizing and facilitating energy efficiency solutions for public lighting in the Euro-Mediterranean region. The Mediterranean basin. The 30-month project is led by the Municipality of Tuzi (Montenegro), and the consortium includes three more municipalities (Lezhë from Albania; Pegeia from Cyprus and City of Kaštela from Croatia), an Italian consulting company (EUROGROUP J.S.C) and UBBSLA, with expert functions, and the Technical University – Crete.
